And now for something completely different!
Tunbridge Wells (Broadwater ward) councillor, Chris Woodward, is parting with his beloved touring motorcycle. But he's not selling it - he's raffling it, with all the proceeds of the raffle being donated to the local community centre where he is a trustee.
The local Conservative Association are supporting the raffle with organisational and printing support and postage. Each household in the ward will receive £10 worth of tickets and an accompanying letter from Chris and his ward colleague, Cllr Barbara Cobbold.
The draw will be made by Tunbridge Wells MP, Greg Clark.
If the winner of the motorcycle does not want the prize it will be sold on Ebay and the winner will receive the cash instead (less 10% of the sale price which will also go to the charity).
If any readers would like to buy tickets, let me know by email: twconservatives@gmail.com and I will pop a few books in the post to you.
What a super initiative - well done Chris and all concerned.
